RE: Re: RE: absolutely gorgeous

No chance of crops where the paddock was, that was about 2km's down the road. I believe, hahaha, there are also those with gold tops. I was always told the blue ones were the nastiest so had to give them a go in Bali many, many years ago.

Hey, isn't diversion and subterfuge the way to learn???

You do come from Ballarat Monkeyman. Wondefull place but a bit on the cold side. Take any trips out to Trentham? Just up the road from you is'nt it!

RE: Re: RE: absolutely gorgeous

I always wanted to become a vet and work with animals. I had the relevant marks at school to go to uni but deferred, got a job, earnt some good money, got married young, had kids even younger, had kids even younger, had kids even younger (yes thats 3 kids/idiot) and never went back to it.

I did get to work with animals though. The 2 legged kind that is. They actually bite far worse than 4 legged ones.

yeah i'd beleive that!
Never been to Trentham... might have to give it a go. I'm heading to Melb this weekend. Is it anywhere along that stretch of freeway? (can't remember seeing the signs)

I think you would have to turn off at the Creswick exit. Fair way out of the way though.

RE: Re: RE: absolutely gorgeous

I never made it to Nuclear Medicine Technologist...I met a guy who told me I didn't need to go to school...so I dropped out of school....

I would love to go to Uni now though...but I'm not sure what I'd like to do- I see courses and I go- OHOHOH I wanna do that...then I find another course and I go...OHOHOH I wanna do that one...and so on..never actually doing ANY (you can see the pattern yeah?) . I also think that maybe 31 is a bit late to start a career...maybe...especially facing like 6 years on average at Uni....

I'd love to do so many things- but finding one I could do for the rest of my life is a big decision....one I've not been able to make so far!

RE: Re: RE: absolutely gorgeous

If you have a health care card, TAFE courses are great. They cost less than a grand (so no HEX debt) and most only go for one or two years depending. It's what i'm doing (and now i have 18 months credit to continue with the course at university so i saved a hell of a lot in hex fees ;P)

RE: Re: RE: absolutely gorgeous

Unfortunately my other half earns too much for them to give me a health care card- so its all gotta be paid for by me. We're in debt up to our eyeballs- but he earns too much apparently. I'm just too honest to rort the system (I've met a lot of people who do- but I refuse to lower myself to that- and I don't fancy a criminal record for fraud, or a holiday at Bandyup Womens Facility...)

Its no drama, I just need to pick something and do it. I am just having a lot of trouble finding exactly what I want to do...I consider myself a bit of a Jill of All Trades...many things peak my interest- so making the decision is hard....I guess I need to weigh up the pros and cons of each one and decide. Or toss 'em all into a hat and just pick one!!

Animal Technician - Animal Husbandry - That kind of field.

The next best thing to being a vet and you could get to work in some really cool places as well.
