BHPs are food machines and correspondingly poo machines so if you like mess BHPs are the way to go. I have heard more stories of Womas locking on whilst BHPs are all bluff, but have potential to do damage as in my opinion they are a big snake but I guess its all relative.I have many of both and am yet to be bitten by either.

Food machines! UUmmmm you have to see it to beleive it!
They go almost ballistic when food is around...other pythons don't seem to go quite so insane!

good question

its a good question-which one

BHP's grow to a much bigger size, with nice colouration. womas get smaller (except SA type, which look pretty bad).
both are pretty expensive, but womas are alot more expensive
both are great, but I'd vote............ID not know
atr the moment BHP's, but only cause i live in NSW and only have class 1 permit
both are MAD-you cant go wrong with either

I have a pair of BHP's, they are both pigs, sooooo quiet though. My big girl eats pigeon sized chooks or 4- 5 medium rats each meal. You need to have a decent food supply if you intend to own more than one for a long time. BTW my girl is over 10kg now and 2.87m or 91/2 ft (by snake measurer) (measured a couple of days ago). She is bloody beautiful in nature. She poos worse than my 20 month old boy (and that's saying something)

I have a pair of womas so i am a bit bias, but i also work with BHP's.

I like the womas as they stay at a reasonable size, have a great feeding response so that it is rare for them to turn down food and i like their yellow heads lol

Well what a thread. Right up my alley this topic. I dont own either yet either and have done a load of research on both. It really comes down to personal preference. The only thing I have heard is that the BHP's can be a little cage protective but really its an individualistic thing. I would be happy with either.

I am just starting to get serious about taking photos of my animals, (still very amateurish) so I will hopefully get some this weekend. Her cage is 1800 long x 700 deep x 700 high.

Wow...very interesting topic. Here in the states womas are much cheaper than bhp's. Sad really since I do love the look...but also hate the price. You can get a male woma for under 250 bucks, but a bhp tends to run 2 grand a pair. Yikes!
