Photos do no justice for these snakes. Brilliant colours and well worth the price tag.

Howdy Pike, I talked to Simon about that recently and he said he's thinking about upping the price from $6600 for females as he's not getting many per clutch and they are in huge demand.
Supply and demand baby!

Yeah that makes sense, I know he only gets a few females at a time which obviously makes buying a pair a bit of a lottery, literally. It's no different to charging a pemium for females Womas and BHP.

Too true boa, female bhp's and womas are usually always more expensive than males. That can be seen with the amount of cheaper male womas available of late also...

I'm sure the breeder will end up hatching good numbers of both sexes and i'd prefer to fork out the cash for these than greens anyday....hopefully next season

They really are stunning animals in the flesh, much better than any photos depict.

It all depends on how many really are being sold. I was told that the breeder has quite a lot of them.

Just a thought, but if you couldn't afford a pair of these, wouldn't you be better off purchasing a male for the fact that you could put him across a number of females, and therefore crossbreeding back the female F1 progeny to the original male? Maybe you might end up with a broader genetic base for possible het's and therefore more F2 albino progeny. (Don't know what the effects of inbreeding depression would be, but just a thought)

Please correct me if im wrong.
Cheers Rossco.

That's the way I'd do it. You could also put your F1 males from one clutch with your F1 females from another female (half-siblings) and a quarter of the clutch would be albino. Of course, then you'd have trouble telling your hets from your normals in the other three-quarters........

It seems a bit risky to buy a pair this season... does anyone think the prices will come down as quickly as I think? how old does a darwin have to be to breed?
