Another hibernation/brumation Question... handling?

Sorry guy's, not sure if this one's been answered in previous posts about hibernating diamonds.

Is it still ok to handle your diamond python during the active (basking) hours of his brumation period?

in another post on diamond hibernation...

I wouldnt worry about that. Diamonds dont hibernate in the true sense of the word. They will remain somewhat active during daylight hours. As long as you provide heat for several hours each day, you will see your snake. You'd be doing your diamond a favour.

As i have just started to cool his night temps and i don't want to stress him unnecessarily, is any handling advisable?

i wouldn't handle, as they use the heat time to build up heat for the rest of the day, if you uncoil them then it takes their heat away, in cooling i n ever touch the animal unless i have too.

in the event i have too i turn the heat on for a while to give them back body temp to get through the night.

Jessop, exactly what Souly said. I hope my quote in your above post didn't give you the impression that i was saying you could continue handling during the cooling period. I only meant that you would still be able to observe your diamond at this time.
