Anthill in the hand

We managed to get a good shot of Saki tonight. She likes coiling up if you cup your hands over her. She's an exceptionally docile little snake.

Thanks, I picked her up a few months ago. She's still well under a year old. I'll be getting a male this summer.

RE: Anthill in the hand

I understand completely OF. They're still rare over here, but at least it's legal to keep them. Makes no sense at all that you can run over as many as you like on the road, but you can't put one in a tank and feed it. Because of all of the restrictions, they are a bit pricey over here - around $500-1000 each. Until your export laws change, they will stay at that price, since the clutch sizes are so small.

Apparantly they only lay 2 eggs per clutch. A fair while ago in Vic, there were a few people who held perthensis, but only on a special license which wasn't handed out willy nilly.
