Any Handling courses in NSW

Hi all,
My wife is contemplating getting a class 2 licence with a view to obtaining an RBB in the near future. Does anyone know of any venemous snake handling courses in the Penrith/Blue Mountans area?

Are interstate courses recognised in NSW for license upgrades?

Ewan,

We have had several New South Welshman participate in our courses and obtain the permits they desired. Some are members of this forum. The reference requirements from most licencing authorities simply state that the references must come from an experienced person holding the required permits, which is what we deliver.

Cheers

Peter Carter, he must be getting on in his age, i remember him about 26 years ago when i was 5 years old i found a snake and wasn't to sure what type it was and took it up to the nature reserve on top of Bathurst Mt Panorama. He identified it as a Tiger Snake and we released it down the track of the reserve, I could have kept it if i wanted but mum made sure that it was gone properly and not ended back at home where i had kept it in a little fish tank.
i watched him eat a live moth when i was there, he eats all kind of insects. Is the nature reserve still running? There was another snake man there but he died some one by the name ---- mc karthy ? i think long time ago.......
cheers steve

Peter Carter never worked there. Ian McCartney is still alive.

Yeah i think u are thinking of Ian Mcartney, he used to work at the Sir Joseph banks Nature reserve on top of Mount panorama. He now works at the Winburndale Nature reserve just outside town.
