Any idea ??????????

Today I was shown a WA bhp, about 3 y.o. nice looking snake, I was asked about a couple of large (about 4 inches long) bright red areas on its belly.
The snake seem ok, looks good, moves good ect but I've not seen these red belly areas before.
The only thing I could think of was maybe the start of blister disease, I've heard of blister disease but not seen it.

So, has anyone come across these red belly areas before and what are the signs of blister disease starting.

Without pics it would be hard to say what it is. BHPs do have brightly coloured bellies, mine does anyway. The area that was bright red, did the scales look to be ok, or damaged in some way?

Craig
The rest of the WA bhp belly was the normal white, where the red areas were the scales looked fine, it sorta looked like the red was under the scales and skin.
I suggested that he have a Vet look at it next week.
