The tank is 5ft L x 2ft W x 20inches H around 470 litres.
I was advised yesterday not to run any substrate on the tank floor that is sharp or has edges as they do cutting themselves in which infection sets in quick.
Also to do weeky half tank water changes as priorly posted.
Ph levels to be kept around 6.5 to 7
And as stange as it sounds to me they are escape artists. |

Ended up getting 4 for $200 each captive breed.
So far the basic set up is drift would x 3 twisted branches,2 x 300 watt water heaters ,filter pump with not much current.
In 470 litre tank i am still adding what would be a total of 1 kilo of salt.
Have large lilis coming in friday and a few other plants.
The are awesome to watch. |

the kilo of salt is to make the water Brackish.
i placed some feeder gold fish in last night,buy this morning they had eaten 6.
the 3 males are around 40cm and the 2 females around 60cm.

The have feeder gold fish at 15 for $10.
These fish are health they have blemishes such as not the right colour, or fins that have been bitten,just cosmedic things that they don't think the public will buy.
I find that easier than the cost of breeding or maintaining another aquarium. |
