This year I decided to keep temperature in olive pythons cages bit higher. I will let drop minimal temp. to 24 and will give them baking 4 hours daily on 30C.
Lastyear they had minimum temperature set on 18C and I have been told by my vet that I should give them more heat. |

| | | | do you think that if you dont adjust the temps at all during the year for inside snakes that there is an adverse effect? Greebs? Lutz? Afro? |

Depends really Mr. Moses, the way I look at it is that we should be mimicking the wild conditions as closely as possible for the area where the snake comes from. If you are not looking at breeding them I reckon you should still cool because in the wild they cool
and they get a period of reduced growth rate. My opinion is that growing a snake too fast is detrimental to it as far as longevity is concerned.
And to Slatey, Yes mate my female Coastal has gone off her tucker and she is kept inside too. 'Tis the season for jittery, nervous thoughts and ideas, well, it is for me anyway |

And when do Y'all start turning your heat up again?
Thanks a million |

I'm planning on cooling my 2 spotted pythons this year.
One of my spotted's and my diamond have both gone off their food in the last week or so. | | | |
