Aus GTP

Hi all, hope every one had a very good Xmas & that you all have good new year.

I was in Darwin about two weeks ago on business, when I was at
Mr Gows house Donna took this picture and I thought that I would share it with you all.

I no there has been a lot of talk here on these Aus GTP before but I thought that you would like to see that not all Aus GTP look the same.
This pair that Graeme and I are holding are true Aus that are 14 to 15 years old that were bred by Mr Bredl.

I have not posted this to start a poo fight just thought you would like to see that some Aus GTP do not have the consistent white line running down there back. These have none.

Regards Tim

RE: Aus GTP

Tim,

The photo looks like it was taken in a public Reptile place, I got that impression from the guy in the background who is ignoring the GTP's (suggesting he's a member of the public and doesn't appreciate a good rarity).

At least Graeme is looking well.

RE: Aus GTP

Hix,
Picture was taken in one of Graeme's reptile rooms. The bloke in the back was checking out all the old pictures that greame has up at his place.

Yes hix he is looking very well and he still has a very good sence of humour. bloody good bloke.

RE: Aus GTP

Ad not a problem and will post more pic's tomorrow. I am not sure about these two changing over time. But I now from my experience here that they never say the same colour especially the females they do change a hell of a lot.

Heres a close up pic of Graemes Aussie Green Tree Pythons.

For the past 2 years these snakes were being held at Shane Scarfs residence in Sydney on a breeding loan. Prior to this they were being held by another Sydney keeper also on a breeding loan. On a trip to Sydney Graeme inspected his Greens and was shocked to see them covered with light bulb burns. This first keeper(who shall remain unnamed) had no excuse for keeping them so bad. Graeme immediately removed them from this keeper and after a short time transferred them to Shane who nursed them back to pristeen health as can be seen from these pictures.

Graeme took them home in September this year after Shane had failed to breed them 2 years running. They appear to be too old to breed now.

As you will see they DO have the broken spotting down their backs which is typical of Aussie Greens.

Bob I recieved an email that was forwarded on to me that the Barkers replied to stating that they breed them at 20 years of age.
All so Gow is still breeding from his woma python that is if I recall correctly is now 30 years old and a BHP that is 22years old.

I have some very good clear pictures of these pythons above and as I said early I will psot them tomorrow.

As for the white spots I did not say they did not have any I said that they do not have consistent line of them running down there back like in a number of pictures that I have seen.

Bob all so when Gow's GTP were in NSW at one of the places that he left them on a breeding loan one of the feamles did get gravid and then became egg bound and had to get the eggs removed by a vet.

I saw them while they were at Shane's place. I think it was a female that had some pretty nasty looking burn scars. Graeme couldn't have given them to a better bloke to look after than Shane. He also worked miracles on the female BHP I now have that had over 200 rat and bird bites on her body.
