I'm not talking about the people breeding or selling the animals, just people for whatever reason assuming that everything come from America.

There are pic's circulating of albino tiger snakes, copperhead snakes and red bellies but I don't think they are in captivity.
yeah ive heard the beardies contually die too. because of the UV beardies need to develop properly.
if they dont have it they become deformed. and if they do have it they6 are extremely succeptable to cancers

I think the possibility of getting a random albino is 1/70,000 and i don't think that many are bred.

Hetty i'm sure you will correct me if i'm wrong!

Just seen this thread - I'm a bit slow I know!!
Reptiles Australia came out with an 'Albinos Of Australia' poster to accompany their Albino special.
There are Albino Bluetongues, Beardeds, Tiger snakes, Spotteds, Turtles, BHP's (which is big in Europe at the moment) & many more.
I was 'talking' to Jon at UK Reptiles and he said that albino Aussie Pythons are huge over there. Obviously you cannot export them, but stock that has been apparently 'smuggled', has been so closely bred (due to the limited numbers) that many 'morphs' have been produced, including albino and Axanthic BHPs. These snakes are simply stunning. It is such a shame that overseas herpers have much better access to beautiful specimans of our very own native snakes . I too wonder when we will see an albino Carpet. Any way, I've had my 10 cents worth, apologies if any info I have posted is not completely correct.

there is other ways of giving them vitamin d3 then uvb light. if that is the only reason for their death then i would be surprised
