Brachyurophis australis?

From what i can gather they eat reptile eggs and skinks and grow to 30-35cm. Native range is mid eastern coast and widely along the murray darling system.

Seems a hard reptile to keep as they are really specialised reptile egg feeders that will occasionally take skinks.

Simoselaps, Brachyurophis, and also Antiaroserpens are groups that seem to change relatively regularly so you may well be right donkey. Im not sure on the latest review of them.
