Wanting to know what type, brand etc.?
Have tried a couple and my beardies don't eat it. |

Little Champions was quite a good dog food, but i think they've stopped making it. Also get dog foods with vegetables in it.

Do ppl think this is a good thing or possibly clog then up aliltle? They seem to be ok, just thought maybe over long term.
I only add a little amount of powder, not drown it.
Interested in ppl's opinions.
Cheers

The plate is half canned food with the other half vegies. When they have their salad the other half is fruit. Another day they get bearded dragon pellets....and once a week they get put in a big tub with as many roaches as they can eat.
The trick is.......give them a lot of variety!! |

Some of them LOVE it and will actually eat large chunks off a teaspoon lol
And in every meal my guyes get endive and tinned food, but each week I alternate which fruits I buy for them so that they get a little bit of everything
My adults get the above every second day and the bubs get it once a week and insects every day.

I dont buy crix often, maybe twice a month, and I just dump tem all in and watch him chase them around.. And about once a month he gets a weaner mouse. Everything is dusted with calcuium and also Wombaroo insectivore mix (dont know if you can get this ouside of SA).
As fay said, variety is the key, think of what they would eat in the wild.

Just be sure to check the labels and try afew differant ones, i havnt found any yet they dont like.
I give mine a big meaty meal about once a fortnight(mice, cat food etc)
Also i give him asian gecko tails that have been frozen. IMO small reptiles would make up a fair portion of their natural diet.
I also give him as much lettuce, prickly pear or other veges he can eat aswell as insects.
If using prickly pear be careful to remove all spikes some are very small and cant be easily seen. | |
