i feed mine at night, thats when they usually come out.
When they're coming up to a feed, i find they curl over a branch (gtp style) and 'hunt' - ie, wait for food

Only kidding.
I feed all mine at night and leave them till morning.
Then double check for uneaten food first thing.

It depends on the snake. Adders feed any time food is in front of them, pythons will usually feed at any time of the day, but prefer evenings, diurnal elapids such as Tiger Snakes will often only feed during the day, etc etc etc.

Visit Facebook Profile
Try feeding them around their normal eating time. During the day for Diurnal reptiles and during the night for Nocturnal reptiles.

It all depends when I can fit it into my busy schedule! Mine usually in the morning. I thaw out the food overnight. Lights being on doesn't bother them.

Strict feeding order in our house - people, dogs, snakes! The pythons generally come out and start hunting as we are eating dinner, so that reminds me that they may need a feed after we are done. The dogs also get very playful and affectionate to remind me to feed them. (Pointed glances at the food bowl are a favourite if I take too long.)
