Lovely animals! Wish I could afford a couple. :-( I fell in love with these when I first saw Bob W's, when I was picking up my first snakes, and, in my beginners' ignorance, said to myself, "I think I'll get one of those next!". :-) Yeah, right!

Hi NoOne, long time no hear, they are like puppies - very cute when they are young. It will be interesting to see if the black stripe maintains on the male, I have read they lose it after a while but the breeder assures me it will stay.
Lutzd, I have a very understanding missus!
I have some other pics in my gallery of them for all interested.

before i really got into reptiles many years ago someone told me that BHP are really vicious. but ive only handled two of them, but i have to say they are one of the most placid and curius snakes ive ever handled

Long time alright, i've been messing around trying to purchase some --- off Adrian, bloody hard bloke to get in contact with.
I'll put money on the female being nice when she gets bigger, for mine it seems the cleaner the markings as youngsters the less smudging they get as adults, but that could just be me.
A yearling male i have was similar to your male he has held the dark top fairly well and still has good contrast on his sides with no smudges.
One of my oldest BHPs was quite dark as a baby but now he has no black on him at all except for his head.

The one with the dorsal stripe should keep the stripe as an adult.
