Are you breeding at this age?
If so, what size are your BHP's?
What c;utch size di you get if you?h
What months are a putting them together?
etc.etc.
Like I said I am only curious to the way other people go about breeding them.

Personally I don't like pushing my animals and I'd wait an additonal year. It needs to be fairly large, between 3.5 to 4kg's I'd suggest and 7ft.
At the age you suggest I'd expect the clutch size to be 7 or below.
If you check out wiki there should be a care sheet. Generally you start putting them together at the begining of Winter. Some people combat males, there are are whole range of techniques used.
The important factor is that they are cycled properly. I reduce daylength gradually from 14hrs in summer down to as low as 8hrs mid winter. The temps are reduced considerably to from 32 deg gradually sown to about 22 deg (daytime) and no heat at night. A good cooling helps, but you need to be careful depending on where you live. Leaving them to get down to below 5 degrees at night is not reccomended. |
