so it depends on if you get the larger snake out of the clutch I guess.
for them too grow guick thats just a guess though I could be wrong.

On one small rat a week they wont grow very quickly. One of the smaller hatchlings from my clutch last year was a metre long in around 4 months. Quote:

My 6mnth female is 4.5 ft and 610gms. Not overweight just loves life and feed her a 90gm rat every 7 to 14 days. But ive seen one the same age and still only about 70cms long. Some eat at a early age some take a while to get feeding. just depends on the snake i guess.

Thats definitely on my list of "to get snakes" when my Woma's produce their first batch. |
Get in touch with me.
I was male heavy this year and will be selling a few lone males at a decent price. Would be a good way to break in to BHP's. serpentine3@msn.com
Cheers.

mine where only 30cm when I got them very small and the girl didn't eat for a wile and when she did she didn't like anything with hair on it lol very very fussy if you ask me then she ended up being so much smaller than the male I am now feeding both 1 medium and 1 hopper rat a fortnight and there starting to fill out and increase in size about time I think they are still half the size they should be my male is rouphly 2 metres long but slim and my female is till only 1.5 metres maybe she was the runt of the clutch. not going to breed them till next or the next season after that. so ya it does really matter on how much you feed it and how much will eat.

I was feeding this guy 3 medium rats a week but at the moment he gets 2. I have read that anything bigger than medium rats is mostly fat, which can lead to fatty liver disease in BHP.
