Blond Spotted Pythons

Hey all,

Does anyone here have pictures of blond spotted pythons that they could post, also can someone tell me what the difference is between blond and normal spotted pythons.

Cheers.

CHeck out my gallery and the gallery 'pinx snax'. Same snake just different owners. He was a little darling, so I'd thought I would send him to another absolute darling

Hi,

Blond Spotted Pythons are only found on the Qld coast between Port Douglas and Cooktown.

These beautiful Spotted pythons tend to grow a little larger then the normal ones. I came up with the Blond name over 15 years ago. This colour phase has far less markings than a normal Spotted Python and also a far lighter background colour, which you can see a lot of.

I have tried to take a few shots, back as it is dark now the pics are a little dark. But I think you will still see their patternings.

if you breed a blonde with a normal one you will get some normals, some blondes and some hets... i think later on if the young are bred, you may find some of their young will be also blonde!!! i think

I sell my hatchlings for $250ea, allthough I heard of someone selling them this season for $300 to $350 per hatchling.

Mine are down to 7th generation captive breed. I have been trying to breed lighter colour variations over the years. There are now a few people breeding them these days, mainly from my linage anyway.

They can be crossed with normal macs, but my question would be why????? You are only going to water down the nice patterning and colours.

Lazy bugger!
I used him to spark a couple of males up last year and he had a go at them.
Maybe MM did something to him before i got him, i have a female TC stimsoni i got from him at the same time so i'll be keen to see if she breeds this year.

More than likely he's just a lazy bugger.
