I got done by my yearling BHP last night. I dropped her rat just as she went to grab it. She got cranky and had her mouth open trying to catch anything that moved. I dived it to try and beat her to the rat but she won. She got my arm and hung on. Don't know why I did it but I stuck her tail in her mouth she then she let go

I had a diamond python a few years back that thought that she was a scrub python. She had a nasty attitude. the day some family members came over, i showed her to them and received a love bit on the head. Was quite amusing having blood running down my face.

Yeah, a lot of different species will latch on and stay on. I have had feeding bite accidents when feeding too tierd and not really paying enough attention to the snakes. Species from woma's, bhp's, imbricata, bredli, diamond, stimsons, and jungles!!

I find the stimmies the worse for biting and holding on, but the most blood I've gotten was from a young coastal that just struck at. My hand bled like crazy, then a gammons carpet latched on my arm 30 minutes later. Blood peeing out and I couldn't get him off for love nor money. Just waited till he came off himself, then spent more time trying unwind him off my arm

I actually disagree. Yes my bigger pythons might bruise my hand but I have felt the needles of a stimmy to be worse than that of my bigger carpets. My husbands stimsons are savage compared to my lovable carpets

I reckon the stimsons hurt more than the bigger pythons
Aaaargh, I am getting a Stimson early '08 in the expectation that she will be an easy, placid first snake!!!!

And I love the way everyone lets the blood drip down their hand before they take the photo. I reckon you all squeeze the wound to force out as much blood as poss before taking the pic to post and get loads of sympathy and kudos. Fair enough, I'm sure I will do the same when I get savaged by my vicious(!?) Stimson!

I guess it all depends on the snakes. We have never once been bitten by our stimmies, in fact they are the lovliest most placid things everr and we have lots of carpets the same.

All my snakes have bitten me except one, and the Bhp's don't take prisoners. I wish I got a photo of the last one when my 6 foot girl grabbed my finger, but by the time I would have got the camera she would have eaten my finger down to the knuckle,Lol. As it was she got half way down, and left a tooth in me.
Funny thing, i remember patting the kids rabbit 5 mins before i got bitten!

I don't need to squeeze my skin to make it bleed. It just does when I get bitten, and it does drip like that. The worse blooded one I got was from a young coastal who just bit & let go straight away, took ages to get it to stop bleeding
