Hi guys. I've recently completed another time-lapse video of my Bredli feeding. This one involved a bit more effort, with 3-cameras, plenty of zoomed-in pan and scan in post-production, and both time-lapse footage and slow-motion mixed in for good measure.
The video includes a real-time clock, showing how long the feed takes from beginning to end. It goes up to 18x speed, so you really get to see the motions involved and how the python's muscles work together to wrap him around that rat.
Unfortunately I can't embed the video here, so you'll have to check it out at Vimeo:
...and if you're still hungry after that, here's some previous videos: http://vimeo.com/316479
For reference, he's a bit over 2 years old now, about 150cm, and I think that rat is a medium (didn't weigh or measure it). He's also completely comfortable eating with cameras, people, and hot lights around, though I do give him plenty of time and space afterwards to digest in peace.

Nice. It almost looks like hes dancing to the music when he starts to swallow
You missed him streching his mouth afterwards though

Thanks guys! It was great fun, so I think there will be more of these to come. It's very soothing, shooting python-lapse. Next I'd like to do some night-vision of what he gets up to in his enclosure while everyone else is sleeping. Quote:

Funnily enough, I got that rat from Big W's new pet section, bought one just to see what it was like (apart from being a bit over-priced).

Well, if by "them" you're referring to the different videos above, that's the same python at different times
I do take him out of his enclosure for feeds, although I don't put him in another enclosure anymore, just on some newspaper on the coffee table He seems very comfortable with this though, and has never confused "exploring time" with "dinner time".

Hey that's great!!
Music at the beginning is annoying personally but much more entertaining to watch that than a stupid slow long slow eating... *thumbs up*
