Brown Snakes... The deadly ones???

Ok... first up - I am a HUGE disliker of YouTube Steve Iriwin copiers!

Secondly, I can't believe people do this! It just continually gives snakes a bad name...

And thirdly... I love the first comment... (I will copy it just in case someone moves it)

"It's just a simple creature with a tiny brain. But it still managed to work the camera."

If they keep doing stuff like this the inevitable will happen and then snakes will be given an ever worse name as a reult of their stupidity

Fuscus... is this true:

**More people are killed in Australia each year playing football than are killed by snakes!

BAHAHAHA!!

Not too mention:

Crikey!!!

We get loads of those brownies in eden hills were i live, they keep on coming over from west warata. If I find one i the dunny I jump in my yute and rack off out of there.

The worst was when I was listening to my men work cd, and I found one in my mullet, it was ok though coz i burnt it to death with a flaming galaaaa.
*edited for censorship*

Spelling wasn't corrected though, it adds character to the story!

Hopefully state wildlife authorities will see these clips and take move to prosecute the offenders. To my knowledge you are required to have appropriate authorisations (permits) to 'interfere' with native animals in the wild. Steve Irwin would have been able to get these permits due to the scientific and conservation activities he was involved in but I'm sceptical as to whether or not this clown has these permits or the best intentions in mind.

i don't get the fuss? snake wasn't hurt, camera didn't get dropped and the cameraperson avoided a nip...
it was somewhat informative as it clearly showed that the snake would rather escape from a human than attack...

I think that can be shown within 10 seconds jack.. not the next 60 seconds after.

It didn't require any more than the first 10 seconds when the snake toddles off on its way. The remainder was pure teasing!

The fuss is about our native wildlife being protected, unabused and above all respected!

I agree with Jack.
And I reckon it's a bit dramatic to talk about prosecution for that bit of footage.

So it appears that by your statement you're promoting 'teasing' snakes...

By that very definition you've shown the limited respect for Australian Wildlife that I have come to expect from the people that inhabit this country.

I'm all for the photos - and even the footage... but chasing it???

That's the 'dramatic' part - everything else was fine.

What is the point? It shows and proves nothing - and then when I read the red necked comments that follow that video I am even more suprised at your blaze' comment(s).

if you want to whinge about a you tube film check out the red belly footage where a young fellow thinks he is cool for picking up a red belly that has been half bashed to death...

as for the comments they are typical of australians...

There is alot worse on there. On the same page there is a red neck shooting a snake. At least this guy only shot it with his camera.
