BrownTree Snake Housing

I recently bought pair of BTS and was hoping to get some advice from members who have kept and possibly bred this species. I currently keep them together (as that was how the previous owner kept them) in a 3'hx2'wx2'd melamine enclosure with day temps set at 27degrees ambient temp. I provide no lighting or heat at night as I find them to be much more active without it, and the have plenty of branches and fake vines to climb on.

Any advice on husbandry would be appreciated but the first qestions that come to mind are:

Housing- Should they be kept as singles, pairs or trios and recommended enclosure size if housing multiples?
Temps- What night temps do people use when cycling breeding males?

Also I would be interested in purchasing more, especially banded or night tigers, if anyone is lucky enough to hatch any this season.

Thanks in advance,

Scott

I keep mine together.
They are outside so they simply get ambient temps.
Your enclosure seems a bit small, I assume they are not fully grown?
Night heating > I have never ever seen brown tree snakes bask, ambient temps seem much more important than a warm spot like you would have for pythons.
Humidity is vital for this species, if you humidity is too low they will spend a lot more time in their hides and be far less active.

Thanks for the comments Magpie. I am looking to build a taller enclosure next month with some more hides at different heights to help with temperature options, will post a pic when done. I tried to play with the humidity after the male had an incomplete shed not long after I bought them, and the only thing I could get to work was a closed ice cream container with a hole in one side filled of damp sphagnum.

Have you had any breeding success before or just the eggs you have going at the moment?

Cheer,
Scott
