brumation question need help

my 2 spotteds have stopped eating havent changed the temps in inclosure will they go into brumation by them selves and is there a way of stopping them it is like they know its cooler .
they are not as active
temps under heat emmiter are around 31 deg cool end 26 deg

its not hiberntation, brumation is when they just slow down, hibernation is a complete stand still

Hey carpetsnake, I think photoperiod has as much to do with brumation as the cooler temps. If they are exposed to the natural day lengths often they'll shut down even though the temps are the same. A light source on a timer can sort it.

my snakes are doing the same thing at the moment and i have never cooled snakes before. do i keep the temp up or do i start slowly turning it down and do i still offer them food or feed them further apart
