RE: BTS husbandry

Haven't kept then but have thought strongly about buying them. They are aboreal, so an enclosure 3ft wide 3ft high and 2ft deep would be a really good size. Supply nice climbing branches and a hide maybe near the top and one at the bottom. You could get away with 2ft wide. They take mice, make sure you buy one that is already feeding on mice.

Regards Alex

RE: BTS husbandry

they are quite easy to keep.
the are very arboreal and very nocturnal
you will need a cage about 2ftLx3ftHx1ftD with lots of bratches and hide for during the day.
i have never seen mine out during the day so i surgest you use a cloured heat light to see it at night.
can be a bit hard to feed at times mine only eats live hoppers in pitch black lol
heres a pic of him just after shed!!
good luck

RE: BTS husbandry

If you've sourced some from a seller, what is the problem in asking them for husbandry advice? After all they know all about the snakes you'll be buying.

BTS husbandry

Dont worry about arrow headed kenshin i reckon simon is putting up a sensible suggestion.Well kenshin you live in brisvegas find b riddel on reps downunder classifieds,he has bluegreen and i might be wrong but i think he has all blue as well this year.Hes been captive breeding his for years now and knows correct incubation temps for this species and how to get them started off.

RE: BTS husbandry

Also, are you talking about Brown Tree Snakes or Blue Tree Snakes?
