Wink Building a enclosure

Hi there guys. I am currently building a encloser for my jungle python to allow her more climbing room . I am at the stage where i install vents and not sure how much ventilation is too much ventillation. Can you guys help me out. Thanks

In regards to the vent I think as long as your basking spot gets hot enough, then I don't think there can be too much ventilation. I think one large vent off centre towards the cool end should be ok.

i had it located central so you think i should off set it and size wont matter

The more ventilation the better in my opinion.

If you are using vents, you should have one at the top and one at the bottom to allow the air to circulate. They are usually placed on the cool side.

even if you put to much ventilation in, you can just cover up part of the vent/s until you get it right

it might be worth doing a test run and turning the heat source on and shutting the doors(without the snake inside) and measuring the temperature. depending on temps you can decide whether or not to put ventilation in the hot end.
