Let me get this straight, You had a permit to collect 2 wild BHPs, saw a beautiful yellow one and decided
to catch an ugly one instead? Are you on drugs or are you a hindu priest?

RE: Re: Bumble bee Bhp

Longtom
At this stage there are no colubrids on the list of reptiles that are currently allowed to be collected.
I hope in near future that some of them are added to the this list. The banded brown tree snake from the far north west is quite stunning.
Oldfella
On your question on black and whites, All hatchlings that we have seen here have been very close to black and white as are all the two year olds we find. The older more weather beaten or sun exposed bhps seem to be a more darker. I would imagine that in captivity and after many skin sheds and a few seasons without exposure to natural sunshine that they would become lighter. This I have found to be the case with wild caught Queensland bhps.

RE: Re: Bumble bee Bhp

No sorry Ricko I haven't
This snake now resides in Queensland. I will however ask the person looking after it to take a few shots, I believe it has just recently shed its skin and I wouldn't mind seeing it myself.
