Buying first snake

I am looking at buying my first python soon but finding when speaking to breeders in the Darwin area as soon as I mention another breeder they straight away tell me bad stories about that breeder. After all this I do not know who to trust.Has anyone brought a snake from breeders in the Darwin area and if so have you had any problems. I am looking at getting a MD or Centralian as I have been told these are a good snake to start with. I have spent alot of time on this site picking up some good points and it is good to see how yous all stick together and help one another. Keep up the good work.

one suggestion, DONT BUY ANYTHING FROM SHARON!

i dont know her last name, but she sells snakes at to coollalinga markets. i have only bought 2 beardies of her but both had a calcium deficiency. most other herpers around darwin have had teh same experiences with her

Thanks for the welcome.

No luck yet Pete but I'll keep trying.

Thanks Tommo. I was looking at two pythons from her. I have only spoke to one customer of hers so far, he has had no problems yet, but also heard stories not to buy of her, so was unsure.

I would like to buy my first snake face to face, then maybe look at importing interstate.
