yer you can get an import permit to bring in other animals on your liscence from other states, you would get it frieghted by air which would cost about $60 and then you would have to get it from the airport. somebody from brisbane area will be able to help you out more.

hi,
it's no worries, living in qld we don't have to do any import or export things, thats up to the buyer/seller in other states to do, depending on were your buying from the seller might add the costs on,
all we have to do in qld is fill out a movement advice and send it to the seller as per instructions on them, if selling snakes all we have to do is send a movement advice with the reptiles, the buyer has to arrange his/her import permits,
hope this helps you out,
cheers,
steve..........

just make sure you speak to and get to know the person you wish to by from. Australia Air Express can frieght to any major airport no worries and i think their prices are based off kgs with 1kg being minium so a hatchy will still be priced as a 1kg snake. I brought Stimmies from Trueblue in QLD and flown to the NT, sight unseen with the animals and couldn't be more wrapped with them and they were packaged really well to which i think is important as aircraft wholes can get extremely cold inflight.
So as long as you have a fair idea of who your buying from, it's packaged properly and the paper work in order buying snakes from interstate is a breeze. Goodluck
