Aldrin Aban, don't be so naive to think these sites arn't watched by the authorities. Now you have just admitted you know someone with illegal reptiles and if it bothers you should report them (the right thing to do). Do your self a favor and stick to the Aussie snakes. As to which ones, well you sound inexperienced (other wise you proberly should have know that a scrubbie was bigger than an olive) so why don't you start with one of the smaller species to get a feel for handling them? |

I realise that water vessels are generally legal and so do not quite have the edge that prohibited reptiles have. But if you get one big enough not only are you bound to impress your mates, but you might even impress some girls too! |

If it is a serious question. I think he has done the right thing instead of getting one and THEN finding out he can't legally have them. People shouldn't be blasted for asking what may seem like silly questions, we all had to start somewhere.

So i asked what he had and he said "oh i've got some diamond pythons and *looked over both shoulders* i've got 2 boas as well". Hahaha, guess you never know where owners will pop up who own them. |

lol well i did forget to say he runs the zoo heheh. well... THEY run the zoo. sorry to mislead... well i do know him in person but not that well. but my good mate does. i dont even know his name 
and yes, i dont know much about snakes that's why im here to ask questions.
i'm here to gather information as much as i can because i do admit i am a begginer, i only began collecting snakes for 3-4 months.
and yeah i did want to enquire for the reason that i was thinking of finding a legal dealer to sell me one, i was certainly unsure whether it was legal or not.
and yeah thanks for the saying that i am a bit stupid, but atleast i'd never stab a friend. 
and no im not buying them to impress people, i simply do it for the passion, i was never allowed to have snakes and now my parent actually do allow me, so i decided to try and atleast take on the biggest i can have and take advantage of it.
and no im not there to impress girls, i do have a gf.
