Yes they can, but if they've refused everything else, I can't see them taking an egg.
It stinks too.

What else have you tried? I doubt it would eat an egg if it isnt eating normal stuff.

Does anyone feed their pythons eggs?

Firstly has the snake ever eaten? if it has it should eat the same food again unless it is too stressed or not hungry.

Those are pics of a rhombic egg-eater in South Africa.

I wldnt feed eggs to ur snake. Why ? The eggshell. The egg-eater snakes of South Africa have no teeth, instead hav apparatus at the back of their throat (I'm sorry i havnt researched this exactly, but 9 years of living in South Africa taught me a bit about the snakes around. I learnt from experience, not textbooks) which actually breaks the egg shell as the snake swallows it. The eggshell is then REGURGITATED by the snake. This leads me to believe that the eggshell may be somewhat indigestible to snakes.

How long has it been since it ate ?

In wat some hav told me, 5 weeks isnt too long to go in between feeds. Hang in there. If she starts showing signs of malnutrition, take her to the vet.

:O Ok, fair enuf, well it's basically wen the snake isn't getting nourished - that is, it isn't eating enuf, or not eating the rite things, not getting its nutrients pretty much.

Wen she starts looking very thin, very inactive, that sort of thing.
