'Cape york COASTAL?' the comments on the other thread were argueing whether yorks are coastals or jungles. Does anyone know if they are actually classified or just a different locale like 'Brisbane' or 'Proserpine' coastals?

As ive got a large 6 bay enclosure being made! I do have a few pics, but i should ask for permission from the seller first shouldnt i? Im def buying them though, should i post a pic?

He said it because you have more dust than brains in your skull, and you give the impression you're trying to create your own zoo. I might be wrong though.

oh come now gaara, your acting like the real ANIME one. Im not creating a zoo. I simply have some turts, geckos and im wanting to get a pair of pythons. I think 1/3 of the ppl on this site have more animals than me! Dont be so judgemental, im not asking for criticism, im asking for opinions on cape yorks, whether theyre coastals of jungles and what experience ppl have had with them. If you have nothing nice to say dont say anything!

Ooooohhh harsh

I'd always thought Cape Yorks were coastals but was told recently that apparently there's Cape York Jungles (classed as cheynei) and Cape York Coastals (classed as McDowelli). Buggered if I can tell the difference! Sometimes I love the fact that they're all variegata in Vic . I just call mine Capeys

My suggestion would be too ring CSIRO in Canberra or the ANU (university in Canberra), They specialise is species identification and can clarify things for you. Though the classification of subspecies can be difficult and can be mis-interpretated.

Hmm, thats a thought. The fellow selling the cape jungles said they came from "river systems 20 to 30km inland tropical rain forest". Not sure about the coastals yet. Would a pic help at all for the coastals?
