Hes just about to shed Ricko, i will get some up once hes done the job.
You have to leave her alone at feeding time Mick, she is deadset NASTY , As soon as i start to thaw the rats and this is in the next room shes hunting and anything will do LOL.
Just about lost my hand tonight the rat slipped out of the tongs and shes over the other side so i tried to pick it up again, Bang hits the tongs as soon as they got inside the glass.

Thats a nice looking snake for sure. I spoke to one of the biggest snake breeders in Australia about them (as he was advertising some for sale) and he told me that most Cape Yorks were only crosses. Apparently (according to he) there was only one or two taken from the region and they were then crossed with Jungles. So there were on pure CY's around for sale.
Now don't know weather this is true, just passing on the info.
However that is one hell of a nice looking snake.

That's a hot looking carpet nigmax, can't wait to see some pics of your other one.

If this is from the bloodline i think it is which have been advertised as Cape Yorks for some time now, they are actually crosses between an original Cape and an Atherton so stiffler is on the money there.Although as has been said animals just like this have been seen in various areas of the cape. The variations in carpets throughout the Cape must be huge as i've personally seen a few different variations from the lower end and all had the similar skull and crossbones head pattern very similar to jungles.

I have a couple of different lines of Capes and one i'm sure is the same as nigmax's and i can only hope they turn out as nice as his crosses or not i couldn't give a toss.Someone saying that animal is found in one specific locality i think is bull especially if it is a cross in the first place but there are Cape carpets just like this seen from the bottom to the top of the cape and the people who have seen them are members on this site.I would call anything in the Cape area a Cape York Carpet...what else would you call them,a Mareeba carpet,or Rossvale carpet...it would get all too confusing.

Same can be said for the Proserpine carpet. There are carpets that look exactly like Proserpine carpets found around Mackay and in both areas you also find your reglar looking coastals.

By the way there's Capes advertised on the Herp Trader atm............beautiful looking animals with a temprament to match.....yes there will always be exceptions with a snappy one here and there.

Nice stuff Tremain,
Yeah my male shed yesterday and he seems to be getting darker each time, losing the creamy green tinge, still looks good more of fluid pattern lol if you can call it that but not the color like hers.
