carpet feeding

Look what I stumbled upon on my land the other day - he was enjoying a feed, I think it was a dragon. I hope this pic works I haven't done this before.

Top find mate,

Where abouts in qld was this series of photos taken?

Ill hazard a guess at the "dragon" being a Eastern Water Dragon.

I'd love to have something to judge his/her length. Could you stand beside it next time you see it eat? It looks very big, especially if it's food is fully grown (assuming an EWD). Great pic...

I live in Qld - Kingaroy 26kms out of the town. I think it was a water dragon, he was struggling to get it down especially when he got to the back legs - he eventually spat it out. Its the first I have ever seen of that size in the area. I found a young carpet in the shed a couple of weeks ago - maybe it is an offspring. lol

Wow! I wish I was as strong as a snake that can dangle and eat upside down!
Lucky you to be able to see animals like that naturally.

How long did it take before he spat it out?
