Talking ccp

Hi Guys
I was just thinking during my research into ccps people say they grow to 10 feet or even 12 feet. what size can i expect for a male in captivity. he is two years old and four feet long and 3 1/2 inches round. will he maintain this ratio ie 8ft long and 7inches round and so on.

Tough one buddy, they can reach 10 - 12 feet with 8 feet probably being average. There's no sure way to say how big a python will grow.

Average of 8 probably wasn't the best way to say it. A fair portion of coastals get to 8 foot or around that, but they can get bigger.

He won't get larger than 9 feet knowing that he is 4 years old and only 4 foot.

Um he is 2 years old, and even if he was 4 years you can't assume that anyway.

Howdy Monty
We have an 11 foot coastal carpet
She is nearly 7 years old, we have had her since she was about 3 months
She grows on average now about 5 to 10 cm's each new shed so she's going strong
Carpets are great snakes i reckon, we have another at about 8 feet and he's the sweetest thing ever
Our female is great to handle as well but because of her size she doesn't get out much
It takes 2 of us to handle her now
Good luck, definately recommend a coastal and an established one.......even better
