Enclosure size should be about 4x2x2 minimum for an adult. They will need a hide or 2 of suitable size. Heating needs to be any heat source that will get one end to 33C or so, with the cool end being as close to room temp as possible. They are usually a very placid snake, although there are exceptions. Also usually a very good eater, important for a first snake.

Yup, I have a bredl, and it was well worth the $350. They need minimum 4x2x2 enclosure minimum as magpie said. Also they are semi-arboreal so at least 2 branches to climb on. Mine is very placid has been since i got him, and he ate 2 pinkies the first night I got him.
Good Luck with gettin one, they will al be hatching soon, so when are you planning on purchasing ya first.

Yeah ditto for the above. My bredl was really snappy as a youngster but has settled down as he has gotten older (as he gets to 6m of age or older). Very good feeder (eats heaps and no real troubles with refusals).

I have mine in a 3x2x2 cage at the moment and will upgrade hiom to a much bigger purpose built cage and 4x2x2 is the minimum as suggested. Mine has 2 hides at sightly warm end and slightly cooler end with temps ranged 33 hot 24 cool.

He spends variable time in hides (mainly when he is coming up to shed) but also spend significant time out in the open.

Likes to climb a bit so a branch is a good idea and is a very inquisitive snake.

Great first snake good choice.

Cheers Hawkeye

G'day Jarryd

Bredli....mmmmm.........I've got two Bart and Lisa, they are 4 months old and just like Bart and Lisa reversed. Generally they are pretty quiet but can get snappy when they're not in the mood for play. They are normally very placid snakes as adults and probably as youngsters too from what I have heard. They are just fantastic snakes. They love to climb (as much as my Diamond) and are great feeders very eager too eat and I suspect easy to overfeed. I definately recommend the breed as a first snake. Where abouts are you.

You lucky dogs! $350 for a bredli would be a steal here. More like $1000 US.

Still worth it if you ask me. Great snake from everything I've heard/seen. Do it Jarryd!
