How long will it need to be before it can go into a 4ft enclosure? If i use a bulb, will it be fine in a cage? And at what wattage? And, how often would you feed them?

Hrmm, i change my feeding all the time with any snakes, childreni i've fed slow fast and at what people would call a normall rate, it's really up to you thouhg i think most people are going with the once a week thing. I'd say it has to be a good 70-80cm's to go into a 4ft tank but it's up to you really.

feeding i've ead every 7-10 days but i know big breeders who only feed every 2 weeks. if you want them to go in a 4ft i would just wait till a good size adult comes along, from most people i've talked to 3ft is a big as they need/like, but as you've probably figured out about snakes a lot of it is just opinion. personally i wouldn't put anything smaller then a 2 and bit foot childrens in a 4ft, but you never know they are different.

General rule is no smaller than half the snakes body length. Up untill now i have had mine in about 600x450x450 enclosure. When he was smaller i had him in a smaller tub around 250x150 inside the enclosure with half of it almost under the heatlamp. Hope that helps, i am sure you will work it out. Just make sure you have a temp gradient, a hide, waterbowl and he can't get out and you should be sweet.

That should do. that is roughly what mine was in and it had plenty of room for him and with a 40w bulb i managed to get a reasonable temp gradient for the size of the enclosure.

Here is a pic of my bredli enclosure, i just set another one up the same for my childrens last week. it is 3x2x2, the snake is approx 90cm now.
