Children's python isn't eating! Need help!

I have a Male, 15 month old Childen's python. I had him in the backyard on the grass taking some photos and i was handling him most of the day, normally his fine with me handling before a feed. It was like he was scared of the mouse. His not getting ready to shed, he only just shed last Saturday. I have the tempreture between 27-31 and scence his only young im not going to put him into hybornation, well what i've read you should put snakes in hybornation before the mature. I tried putting the mouse in his enclosure. Should i just wait a couple of days and try again? or is there something else i can do in the mean time.

Hope someone can help, and whoever does, Thank you so much!!

Yeah i wouldnt stress. You could try feeding him just after dark & see if he's more keen.

I tried feeding him earlier tonight. He looked interested but still would eat, I tried keeping the tempreture up around 27-30 but that didnt help. I know its the colder months, but what i know of, you shouldnt put 15 month old snakes in hibernation, and i've done so, Through the day while im at school its at 21 degrees and when i get home i turn the heater on, it gets up to 27-30 degrees, my thermostat doesnt work, im trying to chase up a new 1 so i can control the heat better. For now could i use a fan to circulate the tempreture and keep it down through out the day, or is their something else i can do?

Once you bump the temperature up again, all the time instead of only at night, his appetite should return. It won't hurt him not to eat for a while. I had the same thing happen to one of my spotted pythons when a heat mat stopped working, once I replaced it his appetite returned to normal. One end of my tank is in the low 30's and the other end gets to about 24 degrees.

Now that he has eaten make sure yout hot end stays hot day and nite, otherwise that food that he has eaten may not get digested correctly...

After 3-4 months, i've have gotten him to eat again, I gave him a adult Mice, took it with no worrys, I put him back in his enclosure (Still constricting, I slowing put him in). He held on for it for a while, then let go, I was really pissed off then, then I opened his enclosure, he rapped himself around a log then started pulling the mouse into a darked spot.
