Why did you have him in your hands when you were feeding him? Why did you put him back in when his was still eating? Its no wonder why he stopped constricting.

He stopped consticting after 5 or so minutes, he sat on my bed (in a container type thing) for a good 20mins, but I was there the whole time so I may have been disturbing him. I put the container in the enclosure then picked him up slowly then put him down.

Why not feed him in his enclosure. He may feel more comfortable there.

But then dont you have to feed them in there all the time and then you cant put ur hand in there cause they will think its food ?

I used to think that too but isnt it pretty much the same either way - every time they are taken out of the enclosure they might think its feeding time..

i feed all snakes in their enclosure, but i also 'hook' all mine out including babies with a little pocket hook, i find they feel the hook and know that they are coming out and dont react in a food resonse. other wise when you get a good amount of snakes, 20 odd or more, you just cant feed all of them out of their enclosures unless you have time to burn.
