Chondro Pics

Hi All,
I was lucky enough to get to photograph one of these little beauties, a yearling gtp, the colour change has taken 4-5 months though the last 2 weeks has seen the fastest change, Incidentally around the time she had an enclosure change that has green walls, she had been in a clickclack the entire time previous to this.
I think the sex is female the tail is so skinny after the vent.
Value of the animal? anyone care to guess? hatchie availability is very minimal this year.
She still lures her tail and she eats a full grown mouse once every 7 days.
Enjoy the pics!

Great snake. One day I'll get one of them. The blue is really nice. It's such a treat to see blue on a reptile.

lol whsc mum/wife tells me the same thing!
Kev, I love the blue too, you can buy them for $50 cant you? lol
It is amazing to handle them and I cant wait until they are readily available.
byjungle, you have too many nice jungles to own these as well! lol I dont think they were bred this season, the only ones I have seen available this season are from Roy Pails.
http://www.pailsforscales.com/home.htm - If you have a pop up killer you cant read his price list.

I wish. I can get them for about $900 CND. Have you seen the blue phase ones before, they are really impressive. Not sure where they come from though, probably PNG. Great gtp again. Thanks for sharing.

Sorry I made a mistake with my last post. I can get regualr gtp's for $900 CND. The blue ones I have never seen for sale but I could only guess they would be over upwards of $10 000 USD. Big a$$ cash.

Snakehunter, the snake is handled rarely, tank clean outs mainly. She is taken into filtered sunlight for a few minutes. Never struck or shown any aggro at all.
Interesting pricing Kev, $50 was an exaggeration but I thought they would be a lot cheaper over there. Without going into average yearly incomes etc etc, it is hard to guage how that compares with the cost of ours. You have availability of choice which is non-existant here, that would be the biggest advantage. That goes for all reptiles too I guess - lucky bugger!

Tis true, we can get just about anything here. $900 is expensive here. Minimum wage here is $8.00/hr (I think). It often makes me wonder, if exporting animals from Australia is illegal, then why can we get almost any Aussie species? I don't mean to brag, but I am genuinely interested.
