Are you really going to sell it olivehydra? Would be tough to part with after raising him/her through his formative year I would have thought.

I understand cash is cash but that bottom photo he just looks so cute.

Isn't guessing sex by the tail a fairly un-sure way of doing things?? I had a guy tell me recently he had about 70 snakes (a breeder) and this other guy said he could tell the sex of a snake by looking at its tail with a 100% success rate. So he went around and sexed them all by tails, and the breeder then did it by probing, the tail method got 20 out of 70 right, and the probing got it all right.

take it to a shooping centre, if it goes to the hardware or tool store its male and if it spends all day at centre its a female

I think female going by Pilbarapythons' website instructions . I''ve been having a look at a few of my animals lately and I feel like I can see a difference lol. My little male coastal has the bump after the vent and my new capey has it too (no idea what sex he is but going by that method he'd definitely be a boy!

I also think you should sell her to me...I'm willing to pay $2.16 but not a penny more!

You would get a better result by flipping a coin.

I am amazed in this day and age when probing produces very accurate results and is fairly easy and safe to do with all pythons (including chondros once they are big enough, usually at around a year of age) that people still resort to methods such as the pendulum method and tail inspections.

Me too, Nina! Bunnings is my very favourite spot. I only need the flimsiest reason to go there, and could spend the entire day in there!

As regards what sex is the chondro... I say apple. Or maybe nectarine. Definately not a plum though. That's all I can say

Well I am really sticking my neck out here OH because they are so very hard to identify at this age BUT, I would say almost unequivicably that it is a M. Viridis!

Well it looks like I will have to name it something which could be both male or female, perhaps tulip?

I could spend all of my money at bunnings! (then I would have none left for heps!)

I'm with you Herptrader, flicking a coin would give better results. I sexed my first snake the other day, ever! And I got it right (with the help of someone who knew what they were doing)

Should we take bets whether it's male or female??
