They look great. Is the dorsal stripe typical of the jayapura locale? When the time comes for me to buy gtp's i'm definately looking for stripey ones.

It's not just the locales of the pythons that give away your not in Aus. We recently had someone robbed of their GTPs at gunpoint so I think people are being a bit coy about showing off their GTPs to the general populace.

Having said that love the pics, keep em coming

I'm used to seeing the 'heat-detection' pits on the lower jaw of most Australian Pythons, but what is the function of the pits (if any) at the front of the upper jaw? Do they occur in the Australian GTPs?

All of our "carpet" pythons have heat detection pits along the top jaw also. They serve the same purpose as the ones on the lower jaw, to detect heat.
