Can some one please tell me - what Click Clacks are and why you use them? Are they essential? Where do you buy them? How long do you use them for? |

I recommend using a soldering iron for the air holes as drilling can sometimes crack the plastic.
I keep a hatchies in them up to 12 months older. And have used them for both Antersia and morelia's. pic's attached for an idea

The WHY part is easy.......They are cheap. Without question click clacks are the least expensive way to house small to medium sized snakes. They can be stacked into a rack system to conserve space and make efficient use of a single heat cable.
Other advantages are that they are readily available in a range of shapes and sizes, simple to clean, and are light weight which makes them easily transportable.

Click-clack is actually a New Zealand company that makes plastic storage containers. I have some of the tubs in this link, they have the four metal locks. A bit on the expensive side though! I would say that is where the name originated from and is now used just generically for any plastic tub with clip type locks. http://clickclack.com/cc/listing.asp?categoryID=136
