hi every1,

i was just wondering when do snakes start getting fatter rather than longer? like is there an age at which this starts?

There are no hard and fast rules to this, ordinarily a snake does it's major growing in the first 2 or 3 years then the rate slows down but they continue to grow until they die. When the growing slows down they then start to bulk up and that is when the diet needs to be monitored closely to avoid them getting obese. Now this is all obviously dependant on how they are fed of course but can be used as a general rough rule.

oh ok because its weird when you see a 5 year old coastal that is 6 ft and i have a 2 yr old coastal that is five foot. but there thickness is completely different.
