oh yeh also NOT BEFORE FEEDING that would probs be the worst possible time to handle ANY snake lol... good luck with the handeling but i think he will stop being aggressive when he starts settling in (may take a few weeks/months maybe.. my diamond took 3 months/ spotted 2 weeks and BHP less than 1 day..

Not really, snakes tend to be more active at night (out exploring in the dark), then again there more active once they have heated up as well. A cold snake can be a agressive snake as they know there vulnarable (a bit like a snake in shed). Snakes change there mood a bit like us girls so once you have had your snake for a while (if you havn't already) you will start to learn there body language and what mood there in. Woma's I've found are great for doing this, a woma in a good mood is a joy to handle, a woma on a bad day (and they have a couple of them a month) u just leave in it's enclosure .

He just wants to explore , if your having drama's just stand up while your holding him (harder for them to get to the ground and they usually give up). Or another way is to slowly move around while holding them as they are constantly streatching out to see a object your passing, rather than just wanting to get to the ground.

My coastal loves to look up and climb up, I pass the wall or door and stop she will try to go up there. Other times she is content to just lay in my arms. She doesn't use her hides anymore now she is in her bigger enclosure, she lives on her silk plant but when it's dark she drapes herself over her exo vine. This is where i pick her up from now and that is a job by itself as she wraps herself around and as I free her head area or tail area she is looping the other half of her body. It's a wonder she hasn't tagged me as i have to be strong with her it's like a tug of war!!

We handel ours any time day or night, it doesn't seem to make a difference, she's very placid and a gem to handel. They get used to it..

Yes before I put her into the 4ft enclosure Tara was in a 2ft terrarium and she always went into either hide and it was simple to pick her up but now I have bitten the bullet and being scared and got her off the vine. It takes me a few minutes of twisting and undoing her but she is alright about it. I don't want her to just sit in there and not have any contact with me. I would have bought a spider if I didn't plan on holding her!! | | |
