Hey,
When i bought my coastal the guy sold it too me fully setup up with a
75cm highX40cmlongX40cm deep enclosure,lights,branches hide etc.
He said that the light should be turned off everynight and turned on in the morning or i could buy a 40watt red globe and leave it on all the time.
I found out yesterday that it hasnt been getting to the recomended 32 degrees and that explains why it is not feeding and biting everything that moves.
Tomorrow i will buy a large click clack and heat mat for it do you think this would be ok for the time being.
Any suggestions would be appreciated
Cam

What temp has it been getting to? I've kept coastals successfully with a warm end of 26'C. The temp does not need to reach 32'C.
I doubt that the temps have got anything to do with how the snake is behaving. Remember it has just changed owner/locations and this can be a big deal to a snake regardless that it is still in the same familiar enclosure.
I suggest you get your temps sorted out and leave the snake untouched for a few weeks before trying to feed it. If you put it into a container you could be waiting even longer for it to settle as it is already familiar with the enclosure.

My Brissie is in a 800 x 600 x 600 enclosure not that much bigger than yours I run a 75w day/night red light set @ 30 degs on a thermostat. I have a 24" fluro uva/b on a timer for the day only. When the house heater is on the cage is @ 30 degs but when turned off it only gets to 26 degs., I hope this helps.

How old is your coastal Cam? If it is a hatchling, you may be better putting it into something smaller like a click clack. However, if it is older then you need to set up your vivarium correctly. Check out our website below, we may be able to help you with what you need. We are also Sydney based.
