Not sure it's true, but it's on the epa website and out local lake has millions (literally) of toadpoles and quite a few sawshells. Also chockas with rainbowfish, can't help but wonder if they can eat the toad eggs / baby toadpoles.

I've been reading abouth the RES outbreak and apparently they eat everything in their path. They're worried that it will deplete the native turtles and lizards. And I read also that there is a snake up north that was dying from eating the toads but has now gained some immunity. I wish I could remember what snake it was. It was a well known one.
I just hope, if it is true, that someones checked out the possibility of the Red Eared Sliders taking care of the Toad problem.
