Native turtles can apparently eat cane toad an toadpoles without effect.
Not sure it's true, but it's on the epa website and out local lake has millions (literally) of toadpoles and quite a few sawshells. Also chockas with rainbowfish, can't help but wonder if they can eat the toad eggs / baby toadpoles.

Lol Browns, get those golf clubs out. I've got a friend who buys cane toad hides and makes wallets out of them that sell overseas like they're goin out of fashion.

Hey Mags,
Love to fam

I've been reading abouth the RES outbreak and apparently they eat everything in their path. They're worried that it will deplete the native turtles and lizards. And I read also that there is a snake up north that was dying from eating the toads but has now gained some immunity. I wish I could remember what snake it was. It was a well known one.

I just hope, if it is true, that someones checked out the possibility of the Red Eared Sliders taking care of the Toad problem.

I've got a Red Eared Slider
