I'm interested to see comparison photos of pythons that look totally different to each other but are from the exact same clutch, if that makes sense?! To show you what i mean, here are two Jungles that hatched from the same clutch, last season. The mother was a Stock line Jungle and the father was a Greg Prostamo pure palmerston. No other males were used. Obviously Jungles do vary alot in colouration and the silvery female must be a throw-back. I'd love to see some clear comparison shots to see just how much variation in colour other breeders have recorded.
Thanks guys
Den

Here are three coastals from the same clutch last year. I'm not sure if you were just referring to jungles or any sp. so here they are anyway.

Thanks for that Tan. All of the carpets that we have bred in the past look different as hatchlings,(red-grey, sometimes blueish), but they all end up looking similar from yearlings onwards. Interesting things coastals!

Zobo would it be fair to say that some are a fair representation of one of the parents colouration and the remaining are representative of the other parents colours?

Yeah Dave, both parents are yellow/gold, this is the only silver one out of the clutch. Must be a throw back from the Stock female, their line is full of awesome and unusual stripes! I'd love to see variations in Aspidites and Antaresia clutches. Anyone?
Here is a crap pic of the female (mother).

Den, that's the hard part of deciding which snakes out of a clutch that you might want to keep. Sometimes you sell a jungle hatchy and you will see the same snake a year later and it's better than any that you originally held back out of the clutch. It can work the other way too. Jason, it looks like you have a fair bit of difference out of your striped line as well. ...Carpets, they are a diverse lot of animals. Colour and pattern wise. It sure keeps you interested eh!

For sure Rex. I remember choosing our original females at your place 6years ago, 40odd Jungles to choose from and they all looked very similar. You never know exactly how they will turn out, you can only try your best and pick out what you think may end up a stunner!

I don't have any pics of the father. We always share breed our females with Greg prostamo so the male is at his place.
