Combat/Fighting age

At what age do two male pythons start to combat if put together? I understand that this may vary between species. So including which species you are talking about would be much help.

Cheers,

Corey.

bad idea to put two males together to combat in my opinion.. who told you to do that or did you read it in some book and were curious?

there absolutely no need to do this to stimulate breeding, and its more than likely you will end up with one or both males injured and on the bench as far as breeding is concerned for that season..

ok maybe I misunderstood.. sorry.. when they start to sexually mature which could vary between species and individuals .Its difficult to say.. but I personally dont keep or recomend keeping males together at all.. I keep some pairs together though.. some females go ok together while others wont.. each individual animal can be different.

some people combat BHP with great success but others dont but its not something I'd recommend for other species myself.
