Okay ...so far we've only heard from one breeder of Common Tree snakes. Both parents were similar in appearance and produced similar babies. Anyone have anything else to bring to the table ... ?

Just for the record; Tree snakes...whether they be gold phase, green, black or blue; can and do produce quite a varying degree of colour through out the babies.
For example; a blue/black female i bred over a blue last year, produced babies that were; different shades of blue black, two greenish coloured juv's and two mustard brownish ones.
The colour change from juv to adult, can be quite remarkable; with babies sometimes looking nothing like the breeding adults. There are a few breeders breeding these regularly these days.

interesting..........do you still breed any of the blues as im looking to buy some.

speakin of G tree snakes,
ive caught a few lately in this ladys shed in the kenthurst area of syd,they have been hibernating curled up under overlap in the corragated iron roof,there always an olivey colouring round there with many blue flecks,they are stunning lil snakes

the blue flecking is actually the skin between their scales, as they puff themselves up to make themselves look bigger when disturbed. All common trees do this even the blue ones.
