I have a few questions about tree snakes, in relation to wild behavior and also keeping them in captivity.
Do they eat small snakes in the wild? If so are they cannibalistic?
Is it common for them to stay in a small area for a long time? the one i keep taking pics of seems to be hanging around in an area of about 20 square meters(possibly more) for the last few weeks. Its almost like its his home or something What would be an average range or territory for an individual tree snake?
In captivity should you give them UV lighting? i haven't got UV for them at the moment and i know of ppl who dont use it and breed them successfully. Would it be beneficial or should i just take them out in the sun occasionally?

Yeah they like to stay where food is, UV not needed. Don't catch him, leave him there for sure.

Apparently they're also communal. Often found in small groups.

They can also be quite stinky when they are scared.......... the one at our place used to feast on the geckos around the light. Since he has disappeared the geckos have got a lot bigger. I used to leave the porch light on which would attract the bugs , this would attract the geckos and in turn the snake would eat all night. I went away for a month and the light never got turned on = no more bugs or geckos and he vanished. This is him in the pic.
